SSC CGL is an open competitive examination, conducted for the recruitment of personnel for Grade B and C categories posts in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations. The Staff Selection Commission is an organization working under the Government of India, authorized to conduct these examinations for various posts. Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the exams.
SSC CGL Exam has two stages for selection i.e Tier I and Tier II. The details of each Tier is as follows:
Tier I : Online (Objective Multiple Choice Type) contains four sections General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. The total time for Tier I is 60 minutes. Tier I is qualifying in nature. The positive marking in Tier I is 2 marks and the negative marking is 0.50 marks. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension.
Tier II : Online (Objective Multiple Choice Type) will include conducting of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III in separate shifts.
Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts.
Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts.
Paper-III will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-III i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
To fill the application form for SSC CGL, the candidates have to pay a requisite application fee which has been set up by the exam conducting authority.

Each year the Staff Selection Commission conducts its most respected examination commonly known as SSC graduation level examination or SSC CGL in the student community. This exam opens doors for various departments of Central Government such as Income Tax (CBDT), Excise and Customs (CBEC), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Central Statistical Organization (CSO), Comptroller and Auditor General (Assistant Level Position). Is. CAG), under the Central Secretariat and Ministry of Government. This examination in India etc. provides a great opportunity for any graduate who is eager to make a career in the public sector.
Essential Educational Qualifications:
→ Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer:
Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics. During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
→ Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
→ Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years of the graduation course.
→ All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification.
Age limit:
The requirement of age for various posts is as follows:

Physical standards for the post of Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/ Preventive Officer), Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN:

Physical Standards:
• Height 157.5 cm.
• Chest 81 cm (fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.)
• Height relaxable by 5 cm in the case of Garwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and members of Scheduled Tribes.
Physical Test:
• Walking: 1600 meters in 15 minutes.
• Cycling: 8 Kms. in 30 minutes.
→ Female Candidates:

→ General Intelligence & Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc. The topics are, Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/ Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/ Number Classification, Figural Classification, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Numerical Operations, symbolic Operations, Trends, Space Orientation, Space Visualization, Venn Diagrams, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/ pattern- folding & un-folding, Figural Pattern- folding and completion, Indexing, Address matching, Date & city matching, Classification of center codes/roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/ numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence, Other sub-topics, if any.
→ General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates‟ general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.
→ Quantitative Aptitude: The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.
→ English Comprehension: Candidates‟ ability to understand correct English, his/ her basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested.
The questions in Parts A, B, & D will be of a level commensurate with the essential qualification viz. Graduation and questions in Part-C will be of 10th standard level.
Application Fee:
Fee payable: Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only).
Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of the fee.
Mode of Payment:
Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

The process of filling online application for the examination consists of two parts:
I. One Time Registration
II. Filling of online Application for the Examination
Part-I (One-Time Registration)
1. Please read the instructions given in the Notice of Examination carefully before filling up the online 'Registration Form' and Application Form.
2. Before proceeding with One-Time Registration, keep the following information/ documents ready: a. Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
b. Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
c. Aadhaar Number. If the Aadhaar Number is not available, please give one of the following ID Numbers. (You will be required to show the original document at a later stage):
i. Voter ID Card
ii. PAN
iii. Passport
iv. Driving License
v. School/ College ID
vi. Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)
d. Information about the Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.
e. Scanned color passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Applications with a blurred photographs will be rejected.
f. Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB). Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). Applications with blurred signatures will be rejected.
g. Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with benchmark disability.
Part-II (Online Application Form)
1. Login to the online system through your Registration Number and password.
