It is the fourth largest country in the world located in the Indian Ocean.
Recently 'Alvaro' cyclone has hit Madagascar.
This is the first cyclone to hit Madagascar in the year 2024.
Alvaro most affected Atsimo-Andrefana, Haute Matsyatra, and Menabe in Madagascar.
In areas like Morombe Province, when it rains, it is extremely challenging to drain storm water and carry it towards the sea.
The capital of Madagascar is Antananarivo.
