  • Recently, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has launched 'E-Samriddhi Portal'.
  • The objective of this portal is to provide a platform for registration, procurement, and payment of tur dal-producing farmers across India.
  • It has been developed by the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India and the National Consumer Cooperative Federation of India.
  • It has been launched for registration, procurement and payment of farmers producing tur/tur dal.
  • It has been announced to make India self-reliant in the pulses sector by the year 2027.
  • Through this portal, farmers will be able to get payment at MSP or above the market price through DBT.
