Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant is under construction in Tamil Nadu.
Recently India and Russia have signed an agreement for this plant.
This was signed by Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar Prasad's during visit to Russia.
The Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant is being built with the help of Russia.
The construction of this plant was started in the year 2002.
Its first unit started production in the year 2016.
A total of 6 units are to be constructed under this plant.
After the commissioning of all its 6 units, the total production capacity of this plant will be 6000 MW.
All 6 units of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant will be commissioned in the year 2027.
