The additional ₹5 crore prize money brought the total winnings for the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team to a whopping ₹10 crore, reflecting the association's elation and support for the team's success.
Ajinkya Rahane, the veteran Indian batter, led Mumbai to victory as the 26th captain to lift the Ranji Trophy.
