  • The decision to change Mumbai's eight suburban railway stations, many of which are identified by colonial names, will now be rechristened as Lalbagh, Dongri, Mumbadevi, Girgaon, Kalachowki, Mazagaon, Tirthankar Parsavanath, and Nana Jagannath Shankarseth.
  • Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has given immediate approval to Mumbaikars' demand to change the British-era names of Mumbai's railway stations, after which the decision will be sent to the central government.
  • Several times already, many local railway stations in Mumbai have been renamed as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Oshiwara Station has been renamed as Ram Mandir.
