  • Kerala is now preparing to introduce 'Sabari rice' against the sale of 'Bharat rice' by the central government, which will soon be available in the supply depot.
  • 'Sabari ke rice' will be acquired at Rs 40.11 per kg and sold at a subsidised rate of Rs 29 per kg.
  • All ration card holders can buy 5 kg of rice every month.
