  • The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Sports, has introduced comprehensive reforms in the recruitment, promotion and promotion process for sportspersons. The new guidelines, presented in a memorandum issued on March 4, are aimed at providing better incentives, transparency and inclusivity.

  • Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Anurag Singh Thakur has announced that the medal winners of the Khelo India Games will now be eligible for government jobs. These government jobs will provide even more support and respect to the medal winners of Khelo India.
  • In the new guidelines, Indian sportspersons will get an opportunity to be associated with a number of sports platforms, which will be recognized as events of national importance. This is an effort to ensure inclusiveness across various sporting events.
