Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated India's first green hydrogen plant at Jindal Stainless Limited, Hisar. The plant is the world's first off-grid green hydrogen plant built for the stainless steel industry.
The project will reduce the carbon footprint in the next two decades by about 2,700 metric tonnes per year and 54,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide in the interval.
With the launch of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the target is to make India a global hub for green hydrogen and its use and export at a cost of about twenty thousand crore rupees.
