  • NSSO (FOD) under Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) under Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to facilitate Urban Frame Survey (UFS). 
  •  Under MoSPI, NSSO has collaborated with NRSC in MoU to facilitate urban frame survey.
  • UFS has been brought into digital mode using state-of-the-art Geo ICT tools and technologies using Bhuvan platform.
  • Mobile application and fine-tuning of block, IV-unit, ward and city boundaries of UFS is being carried out using high resolution satellite imagery.
  •  The objective of this collaboration is to convert the urban frame from analog to digital mode and help MoSPI to update the urban frame regularly in a timely manner.
