Bharti Enterprises founder and chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal has become the first Indian citizen to be knighted by Britain's King Charles III.
This title has been given to him for his contribution to strengthening business relations between India and Britain.
The award confers on Mr. Mittal the title of Knight Commander, the most prestigious award of the British Empire.
